I had not seen this anime previously. This episode makes me regret that. It was well done, introducing the characters and the world in a natural, not at all clunky way. The person transported to a parallel world schtick is old, but this one threw out the all-powerful-Earthling trope pretty quickly. (Seriously, why would we be anything but noobs in another world?). And the time-loop was unexpected and fun. Not for the main character, of course, but hey, he's alive so who's he to complain? Character designs were engaging and relatable. Computer animated movement of background characters was a little distracting, but I can see why it would be easier than having to figure out how to draw humanoid figures with tails walking down the street. I'll have to watch the last two seasons now.
